The Municipal Assembly of Procurement Officials (MAPO) was organized in 1989 for the sole purpose of obtaining the highest level of value for taxpayers by collectively issuing solicitations for goods and services commonly required by Colorado local government agencies.
Membership is open to all state, municipal, county, special district, school district or other local area government agencies throughout Colorado.
There are no fees for general membership, but dues for use of MAPO cooperative bids (see the Services section) are currently $35 per year per agency.
MAPO operates in accordance with professional and ethical standards as set forth by the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing. Members work closely with other local procurement groups such as: State of Colorado Purchasing Office, Rocky Mountain Governmental Purchasing Association and the Cooperative Educational Purchasing Council.
OUR COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT AREAS: Fuel, Fertilizer, Glass Beads, Herbicides/Pesticides, Irrigation Supplies, Road Salt, Salt/Sand/Aggregates, Durable Pavement Marking Materials, Traffic Paint, Traffic Sign Materials, Traffic Sign Posts, Water Treatment Chemicals, Electronic Materials Recycling, Electrical Supplies.
